New study suggests that asymptomatic patients of coronavirus could spread the virus through breathing and talking to others. The U.S. Science Panel has recently made public its new finding related COVID-19 that some people who are exposed to coronavirus could transmit the virus without coughing and sneezing.
As to the panel, these individuals would not show most common COVID-19 symptoms like fatigue, fever, shortness of breath, persistent dry cough and so forth.
They simply spread the virus in close physical proximity with someone. Therefore, some medical professionals strongly recommend some sorts of masks in public places aside from maintaining strictly social distancing guidelines.
Indicating wide ranges of symptoms of the virus, the medical experts also say it is now so difficult to give right answer to the question why some are infected than others?
So far, handful of countries have made wearing masks mandatory during shopping and strolling in a given city while practicing the social distancing guidelines.
Turkey has issued mask guidance – anyone who is outside home has to wear mask or will face harsh punishment. Pressure is mounting whether non-medical -grade cloth masks are going to be obligatory or not to this end across the United States of America. Some sources have already hinted such legislation would not be issued.
Until this story is published, World Health Organization (WHO) has been insisting on its primary advisory to reinforce containment measures and carry out fast tracing treatment. WHO, hence, has not informed countries to enforce wearing masks in public places yet.
Capitalizing on WHO’s advisory, some physicians have been urging countries to put in place social restriction measurements that go along with the severity of the coronavirus. Taking into accounts the current serious worldwide medical supply shortages, they warn health institutions across the world to make available medical masks only for COVID-19 patients and healthcare workers on frontline in a bid to prevent the spread of the virus.
Accordingly, the whole world has enforced home-stay-orders as a result measurable impacts have been witnessed in containing the virus.
The toughest social distancing guidelines in Italy, Spain, France and Germany are now bringing about the desired results in bending the curve of the infection.
After introducing such social restrictions, Italy and Spain have met the target to slow down daily new infection rate despite the existing high fatality rate. The virus has not also reached its peak yet in both countries.
At this juncture, some governments and states are battling over face masks apart from giving orders to garment and textile factories to produce millions of cloth masks amid possible coronavirus outbreaks.
The United States of America has banned face mask exports to the world and it is also being accused of taking face masks. The shipment of Germany’s 200,000 N95 face masks was rerouted from China to America. President Donald Trump has also warned 3M Company that it would pay big price for exporting N95 respirator masks to Canada.
While the global bidding over face masks is getting more and more competitive, health experts sound the alarm over coming of tough and painful outbreak in two and three weeks in the world and tell the general public to stick to social distancing.
They also say social distancing does not mean social disengagement and call on the public to actively take part in blood donation and other voluntary actives during this difficult period of the world.
Face masks are now the most need in today’s world, but medical experts advice the public at large to maintain social distancing guidelines, even if they wear face masks.
