The First Extraordinary Session of the General Assembly of the Organization of Educational Cooperation (OEC), currently referred to as Organization of Southern Cooperation was held from 27 to 30 June here in Addis Ababa. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed attended the session and gave remarks.
Trained Navy personnel graduated
The Ethiopian Navy graduated navies trained in various fields of navigation, engineering, electricity, communication and armament department for two years. The graduates got their training at home and abroad. Ethiopia reestablished its navy in 2019.
Ethiopia requests to join BRICS
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Ambassador Meles Alem this week said that Ethiopia has officially requested to join the BRICS group, which embraces Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. “We expect BRICS to give us a positive response for the request we have made,” Meles said.
Ethiopian Embassy in Kuwait celebrates 25th anniversary
The Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in the Gulf Nation of Kuwait colorfully celebrated 25th years anniversary in Kuwait city on June 22. Members of the Ethiopian diaspora, Guests from Kuwaiti foreign Ministry, other members of the diplomatic community, representatives from international organizations and business people attended the event.
