Prime Minister Abiy met Slovenian President

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) received the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, at his office this Thursday. Slovanian President, Natasa Pirc Musar arrived in Ethiopia for an official state visit.

During the latter’s visit to Ethiopia, PM Abiy received her at his office and discussed on various matters concerning the bilateral relations of the two countries.

  Prime Minister Abiy visits Cenral Ethiopia, launches rural corridor development

This week, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) has visited different zones in Central Ethiopia Regional State and launched the Rural Corridor Development project, a national initiative with a broad vision to transform the country.

As part of the initiative, he launched the rural corridor development project in Hamido Kebele, located in the Adilo District of the Nebata Zone, in the Central Ethiopia Region.

Similarly, he commenced the construction of model rural villages as part of the rural corridor development in Wera Dijo Woreda, Sinbita Kebele, Halaba Zone, in the Central Ethiopia Region. These model villages are low-cost and will be constructed using locally available resources, allowing farmers to lead healthy and dignified lives.

  Slovenian President lays a wreath at Adwa Victory Memorial

During her visit to Addis Ababa this week, the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, laid a wreath at the Adwa Victory Memorial, honoring the Ethiopian heroes. The president was welcomed by Addis Ababa City Administration Mayor, Adanech Abiebie up on arrived at Adwa Victory Memorial.

  1446th Eid al-Adha (Arefa) celebrated across Ethiopia

The 1446th Eid al-Adha (Arefa) holiday was colorfully celebrated yesterday at the Addis Ababa Stadium and across the country with prayers (Salat) and Takbir, along with various religious ceremonies.

Since early morning, large numbers of faithful Muslims have gathered at nearby places to attend the prayers and to observe the holiday.
