Raising Ethiopia to which it deserves through the New Year spirits

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) said in his New Year best wish message to all the people: “Let’s make the new year a new one. It does not make sense to say that the year comes and goes in its own time, the new and the old. Let us create our own new and old times. The old time has become old for plants, animals, and inanimate objects. The New Year is new for all of them. The difference in being human is when we create our own new year. We can do that by doing new activities.

If we create a change, work and create miracle, the year will be a new one. If we plowed last year and this year, we will bring new and modern practices, new solutions, new ways, new views, new footprints, new products, new works of art, new technologies, new scientific discoveries, new philosophies, new service delivery methods, new ways to our Ethiopia. I call upon us to make the era new by bringing projects, new infrastructures, new knowledge and new agricultural styles.”

Speaker of the House of Federation Agegnehu Teshager conveyed his best wishes for the New Year stated that 2015 EC is the year in which the nations, ethnic groups and people of Ethiopia will work to ensure the peace, prosperity and unity of their country in order to realize Ethiopia’s glory.

The unique five or six days interchanges as per the Ethiopian calendar of the 13th month Pagumen, just a week before the fall of the Ethiopian New Year usually September 11 have been celebrated with different mottos and names such as “Goodwill Day”, “Production Day”, “Peace Day” and “Servant Day”. Yesterday, the last day of Pagumen which was named as Unity Day is being celebrated at the national level with various programs. The Armed forces has also been celebrated the day colorfully.

Ethiopia is making promising development initiatives a reality as we counter the concerted desire of enemies to destabilize and destroy the country. The year 2021/22 was a time when our country faced many challenges and threats of existence on the one hand, and on the other hand, it was a time when we overcame the challenges with perseverance and emerged victorious through the coordinated struggle of our people, our leaders, defense and security forces. At the beginning of 2015 Ethiopian New Year, Ethiopians found peace and were able to focus on nation building. However, it should be emphasized that it is impossible to reverse the results obtained by the victory and no force will stop us from achieving progress,” Field Marshal Berhanu, Chief of Staff of the ENDF.
