Materialist people are the unhappy people in the world because all they think is how they can get money and they forget that there is more to life.
Happiness has nothing to do with material…. yeah of course you could have a comfortable life but that doesn’t buy happiness.
I have come to realize that giving back to the society through service, having genuine connection with others, having a purpose… knowing that your life matters to other people is what creates genuine happiness.
When you get paid through that kind of service the money will add more color to your life but if you are in a materialist trap your money will only be a cause to worsen your self-image. .
