The Junta as a leading party
Had incubated plenty of bed bugs
The nation had been abused by
These blood-soaked creatures
Wingless blood-sucking insects
People have been mercilessly
Sucked by the bed bugs,
Every day the bugs
Snatch the income of peoples
As such they have accumulated
Wealth in millions.
The bed bugs had siphoned
The nation’s treasures
And hacked the social fabrics
For the past 3 decades.
One finds
The ubiquitous bed bugs
In spiritual compounds
In the offices
In the courts
In civic organizations
In the securities
In the health centers
In the kebeles
In the woredas.
One finds the bed bugs
In zonal administrations
In the regional institutions
In the universities
In the municipalities
One finds the bed bugs
In the land managements
In the transport sectors
In the revenue and custom offices
In the construction sectors
In the police offices
One gets the bugs in all places.
Often, people were weeping red tears
Suffering too much from the bed bugs
So how could citizens lead peaceful lives?
How could peacefully sleep citizens?
It is hard to get freedom and justice
Unless squashed
And weeded out are the bed bugs.
The bed bugs were the greatest hurdles
For the reform frontline leaders
It was a very great confrontation
To the frontline change agents
To dislodge,sweep away the bed bugs
From all places
And reform the social services.
But whatever cost nation pays
No need of delay to clean the bed bugs
So as the reform to be meaningful
And the change to be successful.
