Since the world is becoming a small village due to the impact of globalization, the connection of countries with one another is most of the time umpired through conglomerates in charge of handling external affairs—the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Dina Mufti said that the role the neighboring countries have played in helping Ethiopia foster the law enforcement process in the Northern part of the country is worth appreciating and these countries have regarded Ethiopia a reliable center of peace for the Horn.

As learnt from the diplomatic missions sent to different neighboring countries, these countries have expressed that they are always ready to stand by Ethiopia and work in collaboration with it in all aspects. They have also understood and are readied to respect the ideas of Ethiopia’s officials stating ‘no one could, is allowed to, interfere in the internal affairs of the nation.’

According to Dina Mufti, neighboring countries have fully backed the law enforcement process Ethiopia has been carrying out and consider the country as an exemplary and strategic site to ensure peace and serenity in the Horn of Africa. As to these countries, the peace and development process Ethiopia is working for does have an immeasurable role in stabilizing the Horn.

A lot has been done to well aware of the international community about the reality on the ground with regard to the enforcement process; and in this process the role the neighboring counties play in a decisive one, indeed, as all neighboring nations consider Ethiopia as their own ones, said Dina.

The increased interest all neighboring countries have shown in this regard depicts that they do have an accelerated will and concentration to build a consolidated bilateral and multilateral relations. Ethiopia is always keen to have effective ties and commendable trust in its neighbors. This would in turn help both sides advance the desired change they have aspired since long back.

The deputy prime minister and foreign affairs minister-led diplomatic corps sent to Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Democratic Republic of Cong have played a decisive and meaningful role in portraying the clear picture and the intended purpose of the law enforcement. Following such an informative mission, the countries affirmed that there is no need of interfering in the internal affairs of Ethiopia. As to them, the law enforcement process is quite relevant, and they are ready to support Ethiopia.

Security advisor of the Prime Minister, Gedu Andargachew also did the same in Djibouti, Sudan, South Sudan and Somalia. President Sahilework Zewdie’s South African visit hit the same purpose and from this it is possible to understand that neighboring countries are exerting relentless effort all the time to help Ethiopia promote the peace and tranquility process.

As to Ambassador Dina, the diplomatic mission especially with regard to the neighboring countries is well hit and all are pretty convinced that internal problems of a given country should be resolved without the interference of others.

The diplomatic process bears fruits in terms of politics, social and economic aspects. It is obvious that diplomacy is principally based on a win-win benefit and cooperation. In this regard, it would play an indispensable role in buttressing an inclusive growth and development in all participating counties. Ambassador Dina also said Diplomacy is run in the spirit of equality and cooperative move. The Horn peace and tranquility is the source of all rounded change and development.

Remembering Premier’s well accentuated and lucid utterances stating ‘Ethiopia can never be willing to table its sovereignty and dignity on discussion and negotiation following poverty to secure aid and loan’, Ambassador Dina said Ethiopia’s sovereignty could never be compromised in any parameter as it has never been doing in its history.

Since Ethiopia has so far been an emblem of liberation and an exemplary of the world at liberty, the rest of the world has to well understand what kind of country Ethiopia is. This is the pride the existing generation has received from their fathers and forefathers.

According to Ambassador Dina, it is quite impossible to interfere in the internal affairs of Ethiopia, showing impositions in different circumstances and acting at the expense of its national interest and sovereignty is not allowed at all.

This doesn’t mean that Ethiopia is not willing to establish strong ties as well as bilateral and multilateral relations with neighboring countries and the rest of the world. It is important to understand that Ethiopia is ready than ever and willing to work in collaboration with other countries of the world keeping regional, continental and international principles under the umbrella of equality and cooperative means.

This stance of the nation was well explained by the Prime Minister at the parliament in the presence of diplomatic community representatives and missions of various countries. Even the Premier, he said, explained that neighboring counties have played an irreplaceable role in fortifying their diplomatic stance thereby supporting Ethiopia to succeed in law enforcement process.
