ADDIS ABABA– The practical step in laying down arms taken by Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) set the way straight to peace and investment in Somali State, according to State’s Communication Affairs Office Head.
The Office Head Abdullahi Mohammed told The Ethiopian Herald that ONLF’s decision to resort to peaceful political struggle is great leap forward to peace in the State.
According to him, 1,400 soldiers have submitted their arms to the State government and are partaking in a training facilitated by the State government on topics such as FDRE Constitution, development and political reforms underway in the country at Gebassa Police Training Center of the State.
“Up on completion of the training, they will be free to participate in political affairs of the State in particular and that of the nation in general.”
He said the move is crucial to accelerate political, economic and social developments through enhancing unrestricted movement in the state.
