Days are coming and going as usual. But the world is highly challenged by COVID-19. The disease is spreading rapidly across the world and claiming the lives of hundreds of thousands globally. Scientists are spending days and nights at their laboratories but they cannot yet avert the looming threat.
That is why Ethiopian religious leaders and followers headfirst started a rigorous prayer for the mercy of the Almighty— God or Allah— to strike out COVID-19 from the horror list of the world. Religious institutes and the government have together commenced a month long national prayer last Monday.
For a month, the whole Ethiopian faithful, hailing from different religions, have been praying for all victims of COVID-19 across the world. They are imploring the Almighty on behalf of those in quarantine. They are asking for an end to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
