Rising, rising like a bird
That has just taken off its perch
Carrying messages of hope and endurance
Witness the rise of our courier Herald
In prose and verse and poetry

Arranged in cadence and symmetry
Praise be to Shakespeare and Tennyson
And the like
For the beauty of their literary symphony
Curated, choreographed, penned and altered
In awesome grandeur and winsome
Posture and gesture
In the beginning was the word
The word of God
Which still moves through the spirit
And soul
As the end – all – be – all
Of the cosmos of the universal ball.
