Ethiopia hosts 2nd East Africa arts, culture festival

The second East Africa arts, culture festival ongoing in Addis Ababa

 Addis Ababa’s Addis International Convention Center (AICC), a modern and standardized convention center inaugurated recently by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD), hosted its first event by organized the second East Africa Arts and Culture Festival.

The festival, which featured cultural groups from Ethiopia, Rwanda, Burundi, Djibouti, Uganda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Somalia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Kenya, showcases the region’s diverse traditions and artistic heritage.

Deputy Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Temesgen Tiruneh officially opened the festival at the AICC, here in Addis Ababa on Thursday and the event is opened for the general public to visit the region’s rich cultural activities.

Cultural groups perform traditional songs

During the second East Africa Arts and Culture Festival, which is undergoing here in Addis Ababa, different cultural groups perform traditional songs and cultural activities representing their communities, both from Ethiopia and other participant countries.

During the four day cultural festival, delegates from various cultural backgrounds from across the East Africa region attends the gathering and perform different cultural activities that promote their culture and traditions

 East Africa Culture delegates visit renewed National Palace

Delegates of the East Africa Arts and Culture participant Ministers, Ambassadors and delegate participants from across the East African Countries have visited the recently inaugurated renewed National Palace of Ethiopia, at the heart of Addis Ababa.
