PM Abiy visits development projects in Harer, Dire Dawa

PM Abiy observes summer wheat farm in East Hararge

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) accompanied by First Lady Zinash Tayachew and other senior federal and regional government officials observed the progress of summer wheat cultivation in the lowlands of East Hararge, Oromia region this week.

The summer-irrigation-based-wheat initiative was introduced by PM Abiy few years ago which transformed the wheat cultivation in Ethiopia and make Ethiopia the biggest wheat producing country in Africa. During his visit PM Abiy said that “With dedication and effort, Ethiopia can not only sustain itself but also contribute to others. Let us continue this important work.”

Premier visits terrace construction, water and soil conservation efforts

During his visit to the Eastern part of Ethiopia, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) also visited the terrace construction and soil and water conservation efforts underway by the participation of the people of the area in Grawa Woreda of East Hararge Zone, in Oromia Regional State.

PM Abiy appreciated the terrace construction and natural resource conservation efforts in the area, which is part of the nation’s efforts of building nature friendly green economy in its development endeavors.

Visiting Dire Dawa corridor, development projects

During his days visit to Eastern part of Ethiopia, PM Abiy also visited corridor and other development projects in Dire Dawa city administration. Accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh, Dire Dawa City Mayor and other government officials, PM Abiy reviewed the construction process of the civic center in Dire Dawa city, a public library and other development projects.

Premier visits corridor development projects in Harar City

Harer City intensifies Corridor Development project targeting beautifying the historic city of Harar and its historic wall, the Jegol Wall. During his visit to the Eastern Part of the country this week, PM Abiy visited the inaugurated and under construction corridor development projects in Harare. During his stay in Harar, he attended Iftar program and visited different projects.
