ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopian Toll Roads Enterprise announced that it has secured over 275 million Birr during the last Ethiopian fiscal year.
The Enterprise Marketing and Communication Team leader Zehara Muhammed told Addis Zemen that the road hosts over 487,743 vehicles traffic that generated 264 million Birr earning. The rest of income was obtained from rental services, she said.
Furthermore, the Enterprise has been striving to create awareness on the protection of toll roads and traffic safety, she remarked. “We are cooperating with stakeholders to ensure safety apart from providing prompt services.”
She said the road has been fitted with more service doors and traffic lights besides introducing customer call center. The road inaugurated five years ago so far generated over 965 million Birr. Dire Dawa-Dewele Toll Road has already been inaugurated and similar other roads are under construction, it was learnt.
