Ethiopia’s success in creating jobs and translating the home-grown economic reform is commendable and the World Bank would extend its support to Ethiopia’s industrial parks development. Establishing industrial parks and making them provide jobs for young people, particularly for women, are so critical.

Effective activities have been undertaken through the “Made In Ethiopia” (Let Ethiopia Produce) campaign in the last fiscal year. About 2.3 billion USD was secured from import substitution products as the ministry has been taking effective activities and encouraging inward-looking trade strategies in the manufacturing sector. Despite some constraints such as power and input supply in the sector, promising results have been registered.

Economic growth needs several works and policy adjustments that is why the association has conducted supportive researches on the necessity of reforming and revising economic policies. Researchers of the association have been trying to contribute their due share by forwarding resolutions to restore the national economy that had been affected by conflicts. The association has no political or group interest. The main thing that we are working for is recommending economic solutions to the government.
