Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, is a city with impressive history, diversity, and attractions, aside from being the political capital of Africa.
The city is hub for many regional and international offices, and consulate offices. Thus, to make the city more livable and create a conducive and favorable environment for its residents and visitors, the City Administration is undertaking several activities.
Just this week, the Administration launched the construction a new project, dubbed “Window of Africa” and inaugurated Unity Archive and Unity Botanical Garden at Unity Park, an additional attraction site within the beautiful Unity Park found at the Menelik-II Place.
City Mayor Adanech Abebie laid cornerstone for the construction of “Window of Africa Park” last Tuesday. The project is set to reflect African traditions and history its building that will rest on a total of 84 hectares of land. The design the building lookalike the map of Africa and other features and services that represent Africa will be available.
Window of Africa Park will be the fourth park for the metropolis after Unity Park, Sheger,Friendship Park and Entoto Natural Park.
Another developement in the city was the inauguration of a Botanical Garden located at the Unity Park last Sunday. The park is found in the compound of Office of the Prime Minister.
Prime Minster Abiy Ahemd (PhD) inaugurated the park and highlighted its significance.
The newly inaugurated center will add a new feature and value to the beautiful Unity Park. Unity Park, inaugurated three years ago, includes wildlife Zoo, indigenous trees, historical archives, traditional features and different eye-catching attractions.
