Ethiopia’s rewarding move for ecological security

Not only is keeping environment safe a means for having a healthy life but it is also of a matter of life and death. It is quite obvious that human race has always unknowingly or calculatingly affected environment and such a daunting action against the milieu has become a serious matter of public concern.

Taking such an unburnable ecosphere injury into account, Ethiopia has advanced towards fueling environmental protection. Country’s effort to capitalize on the grand Abay Dam and its move to plant many more tree seedlings as it did earlier, planted some 20 billion tree seedlings over the last four years, is a clear manifestation of its firm commitment to contribute to the effort geared towards fighting a global natural menace—climate change.

Since the manmade and natural pressures overweigh earth’s great natural recuperative power all the time, its land, all sorts of water bodies, air and habitats have been severely endangered.

As feasible environmental protection has a direct bearing to public responsiveness, awareness creation schemes have to be consolidated with a view to boosting prevention of adverse impacts of nature.

Since a healthy biodiversity is of paramount importance in helping human beings productive soils, ability to recover more promptly from natural disasters, and the capacity to more easily adopt to climate change, Ethiopia has relentlessly been endeavoring to create safe environment.

Needless to state, humankind could hardly survive, let alone get prospered if the world remains susceptible to manmade and natural catastrophes. If this is so, countries of the globe have to move in unison to translate promises into practical actions as Ethiopia has been doing.

Ethiopia has vividly taken the lead in stimulating environmental protection. Its persistent effort has been bearing fruits as farmers, experts and all walks of life have contributed a lot to orders promoting environmental protection. Ethiopia has also witnessed that ecological protection is instrumental in ensuring dams’ safety, rising water volumes and providing people with safe and livable environment.

Obviously, the fight against environmental damage badly requires cooperation and determination to put environmental policies into effect. Collaboration matters the most here and countries of the African continent are expected to draw important lessons from Ethiopia and accelerate the fight against climate change. Yes, Ethiopia has come to the forefront and taken the lead along that line.

Aiming at expanding the effort to create safe environment, Ethiopia provided neighboring countries such as Kenya, Djibouti, Eritrea, Somalia, South Sudan and others with seedlings. This is a bold step that has to be cordially acknowledged and nurtured well. The green initiative Ethiopia has intensified should be triplicated by neighboring countries.

The effort to minify carbon emissions through planning tree seedlings, importing electric cars and even expanding urban gardening is of paramount importance in reducing environmental pollution and air pollution hereby coming up with safe place to live.

The very thing that needs to be seriously taken into account is that planet earth can only continue helping human race sustain if the latter has developed firm commitment to protect environment and biodiversity. Here, individuals, community members, nations, continental entities and even all walks of life have to embark on environmental protection and take care of it since the threat badly requires the combined effort of all.

In sum, environmental protection is currently a principal area of cooperation and attracts the proper implementation of regional and international regulations, and the issue calls for global actions of prevention!
