The strong leadership under the President of the Party, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has been playing a key role in achieving this success. Development partners (donors, lenders and financial institutions) are urged to increase to strengthen their development support for Ethiopia in its efforts to transform its economy. Ethiopia has faced many problems in the past years and has registered achievements on the other side during the implementation of the national reform agenda. The Ethiopian government is implementing targeted fuel subsidies in order to make the economic sector more competitive. The development partners are urged to help Ethiopia achieve its goals and solve the economic challenges that it is facing. It should be realized that any support given to Ethiopia will contribute to solving the economic crisis in the Horn of Africa, Finance Minister Ahmed Shide.
“Ethiopia and Sudan share the same culture, language, religion and a wide border, the relationship between the people of the two countries has been built on a strong foundation. The fruits from the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam will also be used to strengthen the bond. Furthermore, the National Intelligence and Security Service and the Sudan General Intelligence Service will work together to reduce the effects of cross-border crimes and illicit money transfer, vehicle and human trafficking by strengthening cooperation in the areas of capacity building and information exchange.
