To step up contributions to peace process that Ethiopians in the diaspora, should play a constructive role by sharing their experiences in the process of peace building in the country. I highlighted that favourable conditions are made avaiable to allow the diaspora to support the national dialogue process. One of the things that have allowed Ethiopia to have such a long history is the traditional dialogue platforms developed by its people. The role of the diaspora in national dialogue and the experience of other nations has been given due focus,

State Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs  Ambassador Birtukan Ayano.

National consultation is found necessary to solve problems being observed in Ethiopia, and to that end a national consultation commission has been established. The main objectives of the national consultation are to strengthen trust, bring lasting peace, and resolve differences in a peaceful and legal manner. In order for the national consultation to achieve its intended goal, all Ethiopians must play their role. The National Consultation

has completed its preliminary preparation and is ready for the final phase of preparation. After these activities are completed, it will enter the implementation phase. In this way, it is expected that the Ethiopian diaspora will play their part in the success of the national consultation and put a positive mark on the national consensus,
