Another success to the expansion of commercial banks in Ethiopia, Amhara Bank has officially started business yesterday June 18, 2022 with 72 branches at once. The bank has thousands of shareholders from across Ethiopia in which it placed in the second row out of the Ethiopian private banks by paid-up capital after Awash Bank, Amhara Bank, which is the Bank of all Ethiopians works to be on the right place in the sector, as it started operations, stated board chairman of the bank Melaku Fanta.
In a message delivered at the official launching ceremony of the bank, the Board Chairperson of added that Amhara Bank will add values to the financial sector.
A delegation headed by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and visited various projects underway by the Office of the First Lady in the towns of Wolaita Sodo and Hawassa.
