ADDIS ABABA- Ethiopians and Eritreans staged rallies at the State Capitol Square in Colorado State to condemn the treasonous act of TPLF against the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) and called on the international community to have a clear picture of the situation in Tigray and to detach itself from encouraging the supporters of the criminal group.
Representatives from both communities lauded the Ethiopia and Eritrea peace accord that ended the 27 years of divisive policies of the TPLF that separated people by deliberately fabricating and exaggerating various fault lines. Besides the communities of two countries, the Ethiopian American Civic Council, Friends of Ethiopia, and other Ethiopian rights organizations, including Ethiopians living in Denver and neighboring cities have organized the rally.
Eritrean Diaspora who lives in Denver along with Ethiopians also protested the TPLF’s lies and the improper meddling of both US and European Union in the internal affairs of the region.
Undertaking the demonstration in Denver on April 8, 2021 the Diasporas said that the goal of the demonstration is to denounce the improper meddling of America in East African region by ignoring the reality on the ground concerning the current situation in Ethiopia for instance.
The demonstration was hosted by the coordination of Eritreans who live in Denver and its surrounding cities.
Expressing the essentiality of solidarity between Eritrea and Ethiopia, the demonstrators said that America needs to stand with Ethiopia and Eritrean governments instead of propagating the falsehood fabrications produced by the TPLF remnants.
The demonstrators explained the appropriateness of law enforcement the Ethiopian government carried out to maintain the sovereignty of the country.
“We need the integration and collaboration of Eritrea and Ethiopia as well as collaboration of countries of the region.
This is why we oppose the destructive acts of TPLF and its accomplices,” they said.
The demonstrators called on the community who lives in different states of America to join hands and tell the U.S. what was clearly happened in Ethiopia and the magnitude of all citizens’ coexistence and fraternity to create a peaceful nation.
