
• Roha Medical Campus to be built with an outlay of 300 mln. USD

ADDIS ABABA – The government has attached due emphasis to timely completion of projects and encourage those private investors that finalize given tasks as per the schedule and discourage those that are accustomed to project delays, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Ph.D) said.
During the launching ceremony of a 12 billion Birr project, Roha Medical Campus here Yesterday, the premier said that commencing projects has been easy so far, but timely completing them has remained a serious problem.
As to him, the government has been taking all necessary actions for the timely completion of public projects and punishing owners of project delays as well.
He promised that his government will seriously follow the construction of the launched projects, Roha Medical Campus, and will provide it with the necessary support.
“If the project shows delays, the government will take serious actions. Hence, investors should translate promise into practical actions and complete mega project like this one timely.”
Roha Investment Group CEO Brooks Washington on his part said that the construction of the advanced health center would be completed as per the set time table.
According to Brooks, the Roha Medical Campus has five advanced specialty hospitals totally comprising over 1,100 beds planned to be completed in five years with a hospital a year share fashion with an outlay of 300 million USD.
Brooks reiterated that the advanced multi-specialty hospital ouldl incorporate advanced medical and surgical specialists and have the capacity to provide over 100, 000 patients with medication per year. The CEO added that the center is expected to create medical job opportunities for over 4,200 citizens.
Roha Health incorporates medical school, innovational and research hub, rehabilitation center, women and children centers, as to the CEO. The center is working with Ethiopian Airlines and various hotels since it would provide patients coming from all over the world with health services. That is why it is going to be built at the vicinity of Bole International Airport.
