State Minister of Finance discussed with delegates from Japan
State Minister of Finance Eyob Tekalign (PhD) discussed with delegates from Japan.
The delegates are from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) of Japan.
The focus of the discussion was on how Japan can assist the transformation undergoing and Japan investors to use the opportunity to invest in Ethiopia.
Dr Eyob told the delegates that Ethiopia is under profound reform in economic and political arenas. Therefore, this is the right time the success of Japan is critically important for Ethiopia to learn from.
He also stressed that the private sector, particularly those in the automotive industry, to invest in Ethiopia. He also underscored that the support from Japan will have a bigger impact to make the reform successful.
The delegates expressed that they support the reform being carried out in Ethiopia and many investors in Japan are planning to invest in Ethiopia, especially the automotive sector specifically Toyota.
They also expressed their readiness to support and share the experience of Japan to the government in the major development endeavors.
