BY GEEGICHA DODA
The above maxim tells any reader from the outset what the content of this article would be. Our fathers say “maxims talks better than words”. Dr. Tewodros Adhanom, the Director General of WHO is laboring so much for narrow nationalism of a selfish and stubborn kleptocrat leaving aside his high obligation of internationalism.
As to the maxim herein above the Director is unable to save the TPLF Junta no matter how it has been toiling to do so. You know a donkey eats day and night but never satiate. The TPLF Junta of Tigrai for the last 27 years of its reign had been eating up the grasses of Ethiopia and became the richest of the rich but never satisfied. Your Junta friends are nothing but “breast bitters” of their mothers after nipping the milk as the Premier said.
Dear Director General, what did you and your good office do to save the life of conflict affected peoples when the Oromo and the Somali states raged in conflicts and thousands died and fled their homes, ‽ What was the cause of the conflict? There are similar conflicts undergoing which were planted by the Junta in different regions of the country today.
Behind every conflict there are overt and covert hands of the Junta. What the “breast bitters” did during their reign is spinning hatred and dissentions between ethnic and religious groups of the country in order to uproot the spirit of unity, Ethiopian nationalism and solidarity between the peoples of the country. Dear Director; please, rush to save the lives of millions of citizens of the world who are suffering from various types of diseases.
Plus, I advise you to prepare latest drugs for your TPLF Junta friends who would come in chain to Addis Ababa to face law who have been ruling law for many years.
The reason for the worries of the Director is clear. The Director’s present position is attained through sponsorship by the TPLF that was on power. Huge resources of the country were spent for lobbying. It was not only the TPLF that labored for the victory to enable you assume that international position.
Citizens inside and outside the country supported your candidacy and victory believing that you are an Ethiopian brand. Sorry to quote “A Cobra can never be a dove”.
Dear, the people of Tigrai, who were oppressed by dictators under the jacket of democracy, have already been liberated and are breathing fresh air of democracy. Therefore, leave them alone and concentrate on a fight against COVID-19 which is a chronic pandemic of the world to recover yourself from the blames of your failure in combating the pandemic.
Once again I like to tell you frankly that the Junta is the most brutal and inhumane creatures who removed uniforms from the dead body and jump on the corpse of a fellow citizen to show to the world their bravery and heroism against the law of war.
This is not at all bravery but barbarism and fascism. For our first encounter this much is enough for today. The breaking news of the total liberation of Tigirai state has already heralded to you, me, the people of Ethiopia. Lastly, I advise you to prepare and send drugs to your diseased and aged friend of Junta leaders while they are put in Kerchele (correctional facility) and you are too powerless like that husband donkey to save your Junta friends.
Goodbye.
