Mainstream Media houses across the globe and some senior political powers have attached due emphasis to the effort geared towards fortifying the unity of Ethiopians because most of them have well understood the callous and devious behavior of the Tigray People Liberation Front (TPLF) junta’s members.
Tigray People Democratic Party (TDP), Executive Member and General Secretary Gidena Medhin said that the barbaric attack the junta mercenaries perpetrated on the Northern Defense base has dropped a black spot in the history of Ethiopia, but the false and hatred-oriented narratives are being buried and the unity of all Ethiopians is being ensured thanks to the relentless effort and the patriotic gesture the brave defense force-the pillar of the nation, has shown during the operation.
Everyone agrees the law enforcement operation came to an end through all Ethiopian Patriotic spirit cementing the unity of Ethiopian against the TPLF ill-intentions; the scenarios vividly exhibit that that we, Ethiopians, treat each other at the time of adversity and ready to deal with elements who have been jeopardizing our unity.
Obviously, no constitutional order can tolerate such levels of treason. That is why the Federal Government was compelled to take law enforcement measures in a bid to defend the country and protect the constitutional order thereby upholding rule of law.
Tigraways have shown solidarity to the law enforcement operation in Shire, Adwa, Adigrat, Raya helping the wounded defense forces and handing over a number of machineguns and artilleries with which they were provided to attack the defense forces behind, and they have fed the military as well as tipped the defense force members to where the Junta members fled and hid themselves.
Many of the special forces of Tigray and militias had surrendered willingly saying ‘we do not want to fight the Defense forces; this proves that they are not interested in harming the unity of Ethiopia.’
He further noted that over the past several months, the TPLF junta had been sponsoring, training and equipping anyone that was willing to engage in violent and illegal acts to derail the democratic transition in Ethiopia. Their objective was clearly to make the country ungovernable by instigating clashes along ethnic and religious lines; sow discord seed so that the democratic transition will lose its momentum.
He further said that law enforcement operation needs to be completed via seizing the TPLF master minds for the clique they sent had massacred innocent civilians and destructed innumerable properties in different parts of the nation like Western Gondar, Shashemene, Arsi, Bale, Benishangul, Gura Ferda, Western Wollega, Mai-Kadra and etc. Unquestionably, the TPLF junta and their mercenaries have to be accountable for all the atrocious attacks and horrendous crimes they committed.
As to Cheshire Ethiopia Project Officer, Mohammad Demisew it is high time for all Ethiopians to get their voice heard loud regarding consolidating their unity; fraternity and collaboration that has been witnessed by their stance to wholeheartedly support the defense force while the law operation had been undertaken in Tigray state.
Contributing assets in cash and in kind to the defense force, donating blood everywhere, unanimously standing for the defense force are clear testimonies that portray the unity of Ethiopians though a dangerous poison was injected into the blood of the posterity for several years.
The TPLF from the very beginning calculated that by defeating the northern division with significant firepower, and taking possession of its military equipment, it would shift the balance of power to forcefully remove the federal government. However, it was aborted by Ethiopians from all walks of life.
Mohammed also noted that nations, nationalities and peoples of Ethiopia are tired of TPLF’s close to three-decade rule characterized by rigorous violation of human rights, corruption, and unlawful enrichment at a grand level, embezzlement and nepotism to empower the sole cliques of theirs.
In my view, Ethiopians have spoken to and sent lessons to the world. Ethiopians stood, have stood and will stand in unison at the time of adversity when sovereignty and the unity of their country seriously compromised.
The patriotic mentality of the unwavering defense force, the unity and integrity of all citizens as well as the support of international community who have well understood the cruelty of the TPLF junta have fostered its funeral ceremony with its ill-equipped mission and callousness as the saying goes, “Truth will triumph in the end.”
