PM Abiy nominated for African Person of Year

ADDIS ABABA (ENA)- The African Leadership Magazine (ALM) has nominated Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed as one of the nominees for person of year 2018 award.
 
The magazine has unveiled a shortlist of nominees for the 2018 African Leadership Magazine Persons of the Year 2018, who have played significant role in politics, business and diplomacy, it was indicated. The Publisher, announced that nominations for the 2018 edition of the Persons of the Year, attracted submissions from East, West, North and Southern Africa that sums up 250 entries, according to African Leadership website.
 
“All the nominees have risen above the clear challenges that their milieus have thrown at them to achieve greatness in their own unique ways but in different roles,” the website noted.
 
Abiy Ahmed Ali, Prime Minister of Ethiopia is one of the three nominees in African male leader of the Year 2018. Nigerian Amina J. Mohammed, Deputy Secretary General of United Nations is among nominees in African Female Leader of the Year 2018. The publisher stated that it has also short listed nominees in Educational Development, Employment Generation, Political Leadership, Philanthropy and Charitable Contributions to Society and ALM Young Person of the Year 2018. Voting closes on the 10th December 2018, at midnight Central African Time.
