Forms: Dear Editor there were only a few that were to the form outlined so I wonder if your audience wants to write to forms. However, we could try another small one like:

  • The Lanturne: is a five-line verse shaped like a Japanese lantern with a syllabic pattern of one, two, three, four, and one.

Flint

a flare

in a soul

lights a lamplight

glow

Are you into that or would you like something more difficult? This is a quick example.

The artist who drew her,

Got her draught on a piece of paper,

And then showed it to his master,

Who looked at it with a feeling

Short of wonder,

“The wickwork is Okay,” the master said,

“But you won’t

Be paid half its value,

Unless you’re really true,

To yourself and to the girl

Who posed for you.

Days passed and he met her

On the way,

And he told her what he was told,

And she said:

“You’ll be paid in silver and gold, Be it in shops or along the road.

Some will use you as a bargaining ground.

For a dollar or a pound.

Yet, you remain what you’re.

A pauper or a film star.”
