ADDIS ABABA—Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that Ethiopia is a great investment destination with huge human resources and extensive market potential.
In a press briefing to journalists, Prime Minister Trudeau said his three days working visit in Ethiopia was productive and successful. Mentioning that he met with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and realized the activities undertaken by Prime Minister Abiy to transform the nation to a better future Trudeau said that he and his country share Dr. Abiy’s ambition.
He confirmed readiness to work with Ethiopia in a range of sectors. Canada is willing to work in partnership with Ethiopia in capacity building and in the economic sector. It also keep supporting the National Election Board of Ethiopia in a bid to contribute to country’s effort to build a developed democracy
Ethiopia, which is in a state of rapid economic growth, has the potential from extended skilled human capital to broader market destination, he added. However, he warned that it is impossible to think about success without genuine and equal opportunity for every citizen.
