Tourists enjoy Ethiopian culture not only by observing it from afar but also practicing it

Ethiopia showcases an amazing and diverse cultural amalgam. With its more than 80 Nations and Nationalities, the country has a wealth of costumes, different wearing styles, a variety of hair dos, languages and an array of traditional dishes. It as well has many peculiar grooving styles not to mention other manifestations of peculiarity.

Thus, tourists come in droves to Ethiopia to enjoy the country’s exceptional tangible and intangible heritages. This year, for example more than 15 thousand tourists were here to attend the Gonder City’s Timket (Ethiopian epiphany) only.

On such events one does not only see tourists observing what Ethiopian culture looks like, but one can appreciate the beautiful posture they cut when they put on Ethiopian cloths, eat Ethiopian dishes and drink local drinks, practice dances, go to religious places, join traditional coffee ceremonies and the like and act just like what citizens do.

They are seen relishing Ethiopian culture and Ethiopians also feel good and derive entertain from this gestures of amity.
