Ethiopia’s biggest hotel to commence soon

ADDIS ABABA – The Ethiopian Airlines Group announced that it would inaugurate its Skylight Hotel, located near to Bole International Airport, by the end of January.

The 65 million USD worth hotel with 373 rooms and multiple facilities sitting on 40,000 sqm is the biggest one in Ethiopia as it comprises four restaurants including a big Chinese Restaurant, swimming pools, gift shops, pastries, big banquet hall which accommodates 2,000 guests at a time.

According to the airline’s press release sent to The Ethiopian Herald, the hotel has also five small-sized meeting rooms, gym, health center, ticket office, among others. Moreover, the guest rooms include deluxeexecutive suites and executive suites besides standard single and double bed rooms.

The hotel is believed to enhance the travel experience of customers transiting via Addis Ababa airport and tourists who come to Ethiopia through the travel packages of ET Holidays, the tour operator wing the Ethiopian Airlines. It was learnt that the hotel would be managed by Grand Skylight Management Co. Ltd/GSHM, and it will create a job opportunity for over 800 citizens when the hotel goes operational.

The airlines is also finalizing preparations to commence the 2nd phase of Ethiopian Skylight Hotel which will bring the total guest room number to 1,000.
