NIRAS Germany biomedical engineers and technicians are tasked to provide training to Ethiopian students and assist the latter’s activities. Funded by the German Development Bank (KfW), the six-year project launched in 2020 and will deliver medical equipment for hospitals.

Klug also noted that NIRAS Germany is supporting the Ministry of Labor and Skills by facilitating workshops and providing training to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) students in different fields.

By the same token, the firm is facilitating the delivery of medical equipment and building the capacity of health professionals in eight teaching universities including Dire Dawa, Bahir Dar, Addis Ababa, Jimma, Hawassa, Adama, and Arba Minch.
