Foreign company takes overBahir Dar Industrial Park

ADDIS ABABA – Investors from Hong Kong has taken over the Bahir Dar Industrial Park yesterday.

Head of Amhara State Industry and Investment Bureau, Melaku Alebel said the transfer of the park is expected to attract other companies and facilitate better performance.

According to Melaku, though there are few industries in Bahir Dar, the establishment of the part will help second and third-generation industries to thrive. “This will have a key role in resolving the problem of unemployment and foreign currency shortage.”

 Dedicated to textile production, the Bahir Dar Industrial Park is expected to create over 10,000 jobs when it starts production with full capacity.

The park is equipped with all the necessary infrastructural facilities.
