 Coach Kifle Boltena expresses satisfaction with Sebeta City

 ADDIS ABABA – The head coach of Sebeta City Kifle Boltena expressed satisfaction with the result that his side achieved in the season’s National League.

Sebeta City returned to the elite league in the span of eight years. Coach Kifle said that promotion to the Ethiopian Premier League is the most precious achievement one can earn. “I am happy that my side went through to the elite league. We tried to achieve this for eight years and this year we earned that. This is great. I feel happy my side went through under my guidance,” Kifle said.

“The result was earned without a single defeat in this season. In my coaching career this is the first time to get what we aspire without conceding defeat. Sebeta City had the experience of playing in the elite league but it was 8 years ago. Our effort now is to rebuild the side that fits premier league,” he added.

 After settling in a goalless draw with Mekele Coffee eye for next season

ADDIS ABABA – After Coffee had a goalless tie with the visiting side Mekele Saba Inderta last Tuesday, they are now eyeing for the coming season, according to the statement given by the club officials.

The statement said that the club officials have begun looking for young new players. The statement noted that this season the result achieved is not that impressive. “We should work together with coaches, stakeholders and players to bring new talents. We have to strengthen the side with new and dedicated players. For this we have to start our duty right after the end of this season to recruit new blood for the side,” according to the statement.

The side decided to have new coach for the coming season. According to the statement given by the club officials the former midfielder Kassaye Arage is chosen to be the next coach. Kassaye is now residing in America. He is expected to come back to take this high responsibility in the coming few days.

Ethiopian referee Lidiya Tafese officiates at 2019 France women’s World cup

ADDIS ABABA – International referee Lidiya Tafesse has successfully managed to officiate at the 2019 women’s World Cup, reports confirm. Reports indicate that Lidya has shown impressive performance in her duty at the World Cup. It was also reported that she also served as assistant referee.

Though the continent has three representatives, Cameroon, Nigeria and South Africa, in the on-going women’s World Cup all didn’t show what was expected from them.

But, referee Lidiya performed very well in this global big event. She is expected to officiate one or two matches in this international game.
