There is no military solution to the conflict of Libya, so disclosed by president of the presidential council of the government of national accord of the state of Libya.
President of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord of the State of Libya, Fiez Siraj send a statement regarding the blatant aggression on Tripoli and its suburbs to Herald newspaper that since the beginning of its work and despite all the challenges and difficult circumstance, the government of national accord (GNA) has always firmly believed that there could be no solution in Libya except through dialogue between Libyans.
Dialogue is, in fact, the only means to overcome the crisis. Therefore, GNA exerted continuous efforts in this direction, held meetings with the various segments and strata of society, and encouraged meetings between Libyans.
The message further noted that GNA advocate of peace and accord. However, when the aggression took place, the government of national accord did not hesitate to confront it with force, in defense of the people and the capital, as well as in defense of the civil state aspired to by all Libyans, the principles of which were established by the seventeenth of February revolution.
Adding, the statement stated that the government of accord is firmly believe that our forces can vanquish the aggression and compel the aggressors to return to where they came from. This aggression aims to erode the democratic process and reverse it. It also aspires to impose domination and totalitarian government, embodied in autocratic and family rule. We there, took all the necessary measures to mobilize our national army and brave soldiers, and achieved victory, with the help of God.
We proved to the whole world that the operation entitled “volcano of anger” can dispel all the illusions that the aggressor had. The aggressor insisted to continue the war, misleading those siding with the leader that they were engaged in glorious “jihad” and great “conquest”, the statement remarked.
The key point pointed out that as for the economic domain, the recovery process has stated through reform programs which depend on integration and harmony of Monetary, fiscal and trade polices as well as rationalization of expenditure, support of the national oil corporation (NOC), and raising production to optimum levels.
President Serraj initiative has a plan to hold a Libyan forum in coordination with the United Nations to deal on peaceful and democratic solution, establishment of proper constitutional foundations, electoral process, mechanisms for administrative decentralization, national reconciliation and create a mechanism for activating the transitional justice law, amnesty and reparation law, with the exception of those who committed war crimes and crimes against humanity.
