Premie rconfers with 30 European countries’ ambassadors

Federal Police Commission and Interpol took counsel to jointly intercept human right violators

Addis Ababa- Ethiopian Premier Dr. Abiy Ahmed and thirty European countries’ ambassadors tossed constructive ideas around on a wide-spectrum of issues, disclosed Office of the Prime Minster.

The ambassadors have lauded the reform taking place all over the country, under the leadership of the Premier.Above and beyond, they have forwarded their appreciation with reference to fruitful results being registered in the length and breadth of the country for the most part inwidening the political and media landscape. They also commended the role Ethiopia is playing in ensuring security in the horn of Africa.

By the same token, the European Union member and non member countries unanimously have expressed their commitment to work hand-in-glove with Ethiopia.
Meanwhile, the Federal Police Commission and Interpol took counsel on ways how to improve the sector of policing in Ethiopia.

The Ethiopian Federal Police Commissioner General Endashew Tasew deliberated around with the secretary of Interpol, Dr. Jorgan on various issues. They talked about criminals that violated internationally agreed human rights and hiding themselves here and abroad. They deliberated on ways how to hold them accountable by bringing them before a court of law.

The commissioner said, “After a thorough investigation, the criminals have been already identified and confirmed at this point in time. There is no gainsaying the fact that human right violation and unheard of atrocities had taken part in every corner of the country and thus some of the criminals who got themselves involved in various crimes are hiding here and abroad. In our discussion, we have reached on a conclusion to hold criminals for justice wherever they may be.”
