The guns will fall silent in northern Ethiopia; Make no mistake about it, however much the Satanic machinations thrown all over the place as ‘humanitarian’ narratives, however concerted the ploy to make Ethiopia another pawn in the global geopolitical game, however much the inherent age-old ill will against this historical nation the guns will fall silent. Sooner than the naysayers would have liked; that’s what the campaign underway in northern Ethiopia is all about. This is one of those the facts with no ‘if’s and ‘but’s.
For a moment forget the ‘twitter warlords’ and just give a moment’s thought to the astounding backstabbing of some circles who were thought to be ‘neutral’ or reasonable. The question here is, have they always been looking at us with such hostile grinding-teeth hostility; or (and this is an important ‘or’) is it all about what they call the New World Order and that lurking notion of ‘all of us’, none for the others?”
But in this convoluted, muddled world teeming with political, cultural, religious and yes, financial mercenaries the mobs trying to prevent the guns from falling silent are running berserk. For more than two years they have been spewing arrogant racist and fascistic narratives against Ethiopia and its people for more than two years.
Remember last year at around this time when we were told Addis was about to be swallowed up by the rebels, airlines were warned to stay away from Addis skies, foreigners were told to “Flee! Flee! Flee!” there was absolutely nothing about cessation of hostilities. In fact the ‘twitter warlords’ and those who manage the remote controls were having a field day because they thought their dreams of seeing Ethiopia on its knees was finally to happen.
They thought that finally, yes FINALLY, the country and people they hate because they always keep their heads up and their chests out despite all its problems multitude of so much is to end on its back for good. Well, that didn’t happen now as it didn’t happen for Crispi’s marauders, as it didn’t happen for Mussolini’s fascists and as it didn’t happen for Siad Barre’s thugs. No one was calling for “cessation of hostilities” or anything like that at that time.
Look where ever conflicts are raging there could be nothing nicer or more humane than calling or pleading for there is nothing nicer than calling for cessation of hostilities; that’s as long as they are made with no hidden motivations of helping one side get some sort of advantage or breathing space and putting the other in some straight jacket. That’s what is happening now. Just look at the timing and the actual realities on the ground.
The ‘twitter warlords’ are at it with haste and alarm. Haste because their mercenary-like attempts to see an Ethiopia on its knees will never, ever happen and alarm because ‘the house of the enablers and twitter warlords’ waging an all-out social media onslaught on a country of more than three thousand years of is being turned to dust. (Sorry if the checks are to stop coming!) The ‘twitter warlords’ are so desperate that the real motivations they’ve been trying to camouflage all this time are being exposed.
They, as of recent weeks, have descended so low that they’re most of the time indirectly calling for more blood so that the blood-stained checks would keep coming. One of them, who even in advanced age fails tweets; “Tigray’s resistance will grow in the face of adversity” This comes days after a tweet in which he said (or ‘wished’) the rebel group will take up guerilla warfare. Don’t blame the guy; the checks should keep coming! Otherwise he’ll end up in the dungeons of despair as his account runs dry! For the grid of the ‘twitter warlords’ to be realized blood should flow. That is how devilish their whole game is!
The other ‘twitter warlord’ who these days seem unable to hide his concern at his paycheck falling on the wayside tweets “….It is almost certain Addis Abeba’s recent military gains will be reversed – slowly but surely – as the war enters a new phase of grinding attrition.”
And this very hate-filled ‘twitter warlord,’ whose animosity towards Ethiopia and Ethiopians is smearing the social media, tweets “Those consumed by hate for “others” will be consumed by hate of “others”.” Ha! Ha! Ha! Him! The very guy who would have easily won the chief of staff position in the ‘Hate Ethiopia’ army and on the frontlines of twitter war tweeting this!
Some innocent people might think maybe he is coming back to his senses, if he has left any left, that is. Any person with clean conscience would have exactly that though if things have been normal. But the things aren’t normal.
And in another tweet he wails “…Whenever I Tweet on the war in #Tigray, these days, I am unusually met with a barrage of defaming, insulting, threatening tweets. Nothing will stop us from telling the truth. STOP the war on Tigray.” What other scenario was the ‘twitter warlord’ thinking about when for months and months he has been throwing dust and every other ‘weapon’ within his reach to denigrate, blaspheme a country and its people who only want three things Peace! Peace! and Peace!
Please read this very shrewd and at the same time extremely stupid tweet; “Sources from the area claim Ethiopian and Eritrean forces (their allies) have been instructed to kill three Tigrayans each, including elderly and children, and that victims’ limbs and skulls are on display.” Believe it or not this is taken from an article published in a certain western newspaper by yet another latecomer to the twitter ‘Hate Ethiopia’ mob; And she is profiled as a senior fellow in some on US Foreign Policy. Well; well; well. Isn’t that news!
And a British paper calls for “sustained external pressure” and calling on donors to end anything but humanitarian assistance to the country. RACIST!
Here is a latecomer so eager to join the enablers and warlords who tweets one the most stupid, sly and tweets in the whole saga; “There is some talk about an Eritrean administrator to be installed in Tigray. This idea would be entirely unacceptable to people of Tigray and unworkable after the atrocities committed by Eritrean military in Tigray after 2020 invasion.” And she is, hold our breath, a professor! Whoa!
Another of the warlords in disarray writes; “The U.S. and Europeans can impose high costs on Ethiopia on Abiy if he refuses to declare a cessation of hostilities in the coming days” Well, twitter warlords are nothing but mistakes of Mother Nature.
And here is a parting shot; “Today, Russia called a Security Council meeting, once again, for the sole purpose of spreading disinformation about Ukraine. They are trying to distract us from the atrocities Russian forces are carrying out in Ukraine. It’s not working. It’s never going to work.” Wow! This coming from Ambassador Greenfield all you can say is “Wow!” How many times has the West and its cohorts ‘to distract Ethiopia from ensuring law and order’ in the northern part of the country calling UNSC meetings! More than a dozen times! Huh! Now this! ‘Respect the UNSC” .You know, sooner or later the rooster comes home to roost.
“Mayday! Mayday! Isn’t anybody listening?”
Someone quotes Donald N. Levine in their tweet; “Ethiopians do not have the psychic scars that come from having grown up as an alien in one’s own country. Rather, they enjoy a high degree of self-esteem and pride in their long tradition of Independence.”
Case closed!
