BY HAFTU GEBREZGABIHER
Irreechaa Hora Finfine festival was celebrated in a beautiful and colorful way, preserving the traditional values and peacefully.
This year’s Hora Finfine festival, celebrated for the 4th time in the Capital Addis Ababa and attended by millions of people, was celebrated from the very eve in a beautiful atmosphere, with great splendor and beauty, with a sense of hospitality, in a manner that preserved the traditional values.
In his best wish messages regarding Irreechaa, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to celebrate Irreecha is to give thanks together, reconciliation, peace is love and unity. “This is the culture and value of the Geda system. Irreechaa is a platform of purity. Irreechaa seeks purification in thought.
In Irreechaa, the God who created the heavens and the earth is praised. It is where the laws of nature and creatures are coming to the same point.
“Although terrorist groups have actually moved to make the Hora Finfine Irrreechaa festival celebrated in our city a center of violence to make up for the losses they suffered on the battlefield, with the peace-loving people, the security forces and our people’s army and the coordination and cooperation of the leadership, it was possible to celebrate a peaceful and calm festival. I would like to say congratulations,” so stated Addis Ababa City Mayor Adanech Abiebie.
The people of Addis Ababa, who played the main and irreplaceable role in making this festival successful and beautiful, deserve great thanks the Mayor said, starting from beautifying the city and cleaning the area, welcoming the guests with beautiful hospitality in every area, actively protecting the village and its surroundings so that the festival ends with a peaceful atmosphere, and exposing the anti-peace forces where they are, for their contribution.
The Oromo Abagadas, Hadesinkes, Qeeros, Qeeres and Foles, thank you for making this festival to be celebrated with great splendor and peace while maintaining its values and order, Adanech added.
“To the nations, nationalities and peoples who came to our city to attend the festival, we thank you for the great symbol of solidarity and your role in the peace of our city.”
Even though the foreign forces who want to spoil the good image of Ethiopia are trying to spoil the image of our country by looking for flaws in this festival, we thank all the media institutions and media experts for highlighting the good aspect of the festival and for showing the solidarity of the people, the Mayor thanked.
Even now, until our guests return safely to their respective areas, I call on us to continue working diligently and cooperatively until the end with the sense of hospitality that has started, and for the Hora Arsede festival to be celebrated Today in Bishoftu, Oromia Regional State to end peacefully.
