Fair creates experience-sharing platform for international businesses

ADDIS ABABA – Along with the 12th Specialized International Agriculture and Food Exhibition, the first International Medical Fair has created opportunities for international business companies to share their experience and knowledge with their counterparts in Ethiopia, as disclosed by the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations.

 Kicked off on Thursday, the Fair participates over 125 foreign and local businesses BY MESERET BEHAILU interested in sharing experience on trade and investment, President of the Associations Mesenbet Shenkute told this reporter. As to her, the exhibition aimed at creating opportunities for international business companies to share their experience and knowledge with their counterparts in Ethiopia.

Among the total 125 business companies, 40 of them are foreign and the remaining are Ethiopian businesses, Mesenbet added. It will also facilitate the transformation of sustainable business development and international trade competency between and among countries around the world, she noted. Mulugeta Worku, Exhibiter from Pharma International Medicine Provider, Jordan, on his part said that his company has provided medicine for influenza, eczema, and the like for the past ten years in Ethiopia.

It has also an experience in this regard for over 20 years in different countries, he explained. According to him, the exhibition has significant role to introduce own products, share others’ experience, and understand the business culture of counterpart countries. Tigest Desalgne, exhibiter from Holland Monarch Vegetable Seed Providing Company, said her company has more than 90 years’ of business relations with deferent countries, and work for over 14 years in Ethiopia. According to Tigist, her company provides special vegetable seeds which would not simply be affected by diseases and insects. In doing so, the company plays its part to maximize productivity and ensure farmers benefit, she indicated.
