ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopian Media Authority has revoked “The Economist Magazine” Ethiopia’s Correspondent Tom Gardner’s press credentials since he has been committing professional faulty.
As to the information obtained from the authority, previously the authority did a lot of measures to refrain the journalist from committing professional faulty including warning him by written reprimands and undertaking discussion with the journalist repeatedly. However, Tom has not shown willingness to correct his professional mistakes.
The authority stressed that the journalist have been transmitting his personal feeling and interest through using his profession in improper way in contrast to the law of the country.
The authority called on “The Economics Magazine”to assign and substitute unbiased and independent journalist at his position and vowed to extend its cooperation with the magazine.
