ADAMA – A delegation from Somali State led by Deputy President Mustapha Mohammed received a warm welcome by people and officials of the Oromia State yesterday when it arrived to start people to people conference at Adama Town.
The participants of the conference include members of Aba Geda from Oromia and Ugaz from Somali State as well as community leaders and senior state officials.
The conference aims at fostering solidarity between the two peoples.
Oromia State Communication Head Admassu Damities said that the peoples of the two states have a number of common cultural values and norms. Their deep rooted could not be eroded by politically fabricated stories. The conference, hence, would further deepen their aged long solidarity.
