Premier calls on Sudanese to solve differences through dialogue

ADDIS ABABA– Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) has called on the people of Sudan to solve their differences through negotiations.

The Premier send a message in connection with the recent government change in the Republic of Sudan.

In his message, Abiy made an appeal to the people of Sudan to solve differences through dialogue in the view to reach national consensus.

Noting the need to hold inclusive dialogue with all stakeholders, the Prime Minister expressed optimism that the move would facilitate the path to a strengthened, united and democratic Sudan. The initiative to hold inclusive dialogue with Sudanese competing political parties is also noteworthy.

“Through continuous dialogue, differing ideas could be narrowed down towards one Sudan, one people, all working towards a common direction. Differences should only be in ideas and not in administration.”

The Premier in his message recommended the people of Sudan for leading the change in peaceful way. He said the people’s effort to voice their demands in a responsible manner is a reflection of their aspiration for a strengthened and democratic Sudan.

He also expressed his admiration for the military council to bring about the change taking into account the need of the people of Sudan.

According to Office of the Prime Minister, Abiy reminded the people of Sudan the need to work together towards one united country without any divisions while reiterating the commitment of the people and government of Ethiopia to stand by them.
