ADDIS ABABA – The Ethiopian sports festival has been going on in the capital of Tigray region Mekele, the organizers disclosed.
The student’s sports festival didn’t get the necessary focus of attention for long, sports teachers complain for years. Once the driving forces in producing young talent for elite sportsmen and women, this time the contribution of schools is extremely limited.
It was earlier decided that the student sports festival to take place every two years on a national level but due to a number of reasons this has never been implemented.
The Tigray regional sports bureau took all responsibility to carry out the season’s festival. It was reported from the scene that football, athletics, and other ball games have been in the sports festival.
