ADDIS ABABA- Ethiopian CEO, Tewolde Gebremariam, said that Ethiopian is preparing to sue The New York Times on its baseless claim that pilots on the doomed flight 302 did not take simulator training.
The CEO indicated that Ethiopian gives simulator training on regular bases for its pilots. The two pilots who lost their life during the crash had taken the training.
All Ethiopian pilots are certified and they have been demonstrating their competence globally, he added. Ethiopian indicated that the claim of The New York Times is groundless and irresponsible.
He said, the international agreement forbids all to refrain from giving information based on speculation. However, the irresponsible ones are dishing out statements.
Exercising patience, Ethiopian is waiting for the result of the investigative commission. Processes to get evidences from the Black box is being carried out.
