The Ethiopian Diaspora community has been intensifying the fight against misinformation and disinformation of the global community about the internal affairs of the country.
As an extension to their aspiration to help the national interest of their home country, they use twitter and other social media platforms to correct the false reports including by the international media and some organizations.
Those in Europe and nearby some western countries had never been fair to Ethiopia; we had lived through the 1896 ordeal leading to the Battle of Adwa and invasion of Mussolini in 1935.
Luckily, Ethiopia won and prevailed in the two wars, eternal glory to our patriots, according to a Diasporas page that goes with the name ‘Unity for Ethiopia Official’.
The official page further added that Ethiopians living abroad or within should join hands to provide truthful information about what went in Ethiopia for the last 30 years under TPLF’s complete and absolute rule, and should expose the continued media campaign and lies spread about ongoing war on TPLF (NOT on Tigray).
Indeed, said Dr. Melaku, the Diaspora community must play crucial roles at the time when there was no credible information gathering and even phone calls were luxury across the Atlantic. Their struggle and perseverance puts Ethiopian Diaspora of the age of information in shame. They were able to campaign vigorously, influence public opinion.
So, how come now, over millions of Ethiopians living abroad & at age of information, internet at our disposal, are not coming together to fight for our country in the cyber space. It beat us! Dr. Melaku stated that we owe these unsung heroes of Ethiopia a great deal. We need to come together & fight off conflict entrepreneurs and mercenaries & save our country. The social media campaign is the least we can do when looked at in perspective, the World Ethiopian Federation stated.
“We call up all Ethiopians at home and abroad, make your voice heard lauder for Ethiopia, peace, development and democracy by sacrificing a little time to sign or twit campaign,” said Sintayehu Asaye, a University Lecturer abroad.
The narration about Tigray is totally false, they are trying to give bad pictures about the governments’ forces, and it is true there are low enforcement operations with very low civilian casualties, especially, when TPLF used them as human-shield, the world is a witness for Ethiopian force humanity and how TPLF is a slaughterer.
Together we can make a difference he added, extending a call for Ethiopians at home and abroad, the campaign aims to promote the good qualities of Ethiopia and assuage the effects of the misguided media narrative that dominated the air for the last couple of months.

The government of Ethiopia is doing its level best to address humanitarian aids to the Tigray region while fighting false media campaign against facts on the ground. The TPLF propagandist and its lobbyists will be exposed to the world by Ethiopians.
Simply instead of differing the government or others you need to see your humanity whoever done it the case is not the kid, so please show your humanity first, Chernet further stressed.
Ethiopians abroad defend Ethiopia, fight the giant western governments, their media and so called Crisis, Right’s Organizations that are supporting TPLF and misinforming the world.
They also expressed that the difficulty with TPLF and its cliques abroad are making difference between Tigray and TPLF’s anti-Semitism agendas. The innocent people of Tigray are Ethiopians and equally victimized by TPLF. The majority of Diasporas were either family members or paid activist.
Meanwhile, the Diaspora communities are campaigning to defend the GERD as well.
Media and Community Researcher Ketema Hailu stressed that all Ethiopians at home and abroad should condemn the injustice regarding our natural rights on GERD. The masterminding role of Egypt in Ethio-Sudan border tension and unintended interference of others in our internal affairs in Tigray region has to be stopped.
In new unjustifiable development, Egypt supports the United States, the European Union and the United Nations in the ongoing Sudan’s call for the participation of international negotiators in the GERD talks, the Sudanese media outlets reported.
In his recent visit to Khartoum, Egypt’s President El Sisi said in a statement that they (Sudan and Egypt) would not accept any attempt to control the Nile River. The President of Egypt and the Chairman of the Transitional Council of Sudan’s Sovereignty Lieutenant Gen. Al Burhan have agreed to reach an agreement on the completion and management of the Renaissance Dam through bilateral, regional and international efforts.
Although the issues raised are not explicitly stated in their statement, the President of Egypt and the Chairman of the Sudanese Transitional Council discussed the current situation on the Ethiopian-Sudanese border.
Such injustice in using own resources is another focus point that brought together the Ethiopian Diaspora to act in unity.
