It is no secret that the TPLF junta officials were turning the lives of the wide community into a living hell. Above and beyond, as they were persistently giving priority to evil deeds for nearly three decades, they did not hesitate to back the country into a corner bringing into play a considerable amount of diabolic acts.
Sad as it may sound, the wider community was under the yoke of poverty, and struggling with a wide spectrum of life challenges every once in a while. At that very moment, pulling oneself out of poverty was as not as easy as falling off a log. The whole thing was like getting blood from a stone.
In the same perspective, people of all kinds residing in every nook and cranny of the country were leading a hand to mouth existence now and then. With sadness, most of them were above the dead and below the living. At a loss about what to do, most of them were cursing their luck and crying their eyes out in the light of the fact that the whole kit and caboodle was beyond their control.
As the TPLF Junta officials were not in the position to lend their ears, the situation of the country was moving into uncharted territory once in a while. Speaking of which, the people were caught between a rock and a hard place.
However, when Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed came to power, the whole thing embarked on getting on track in a short space of time.
Following the premier’s victory, every Tom, Dick, and Harry without exception embarked on expressing their infinite happiness at the drop of a hat. They were all feeling on top of the world except the TPLF junta officials’ members. What is more, the print and electronic media outlets of the world set in motion reporting the successful journey of the premier in less than no time all over the world.
Over time, the premier began carrying out reforms all over the country and turning out to be the talk of the entire world in the twinkling of an eye.
As the TPLF junta officials were disappointed on the ongoing reform, they started getting
themselves involved in stoking unrest throughout the territory working hand in glove with everyone involved in other parts of the country.
Slowly but surely, the TPLF junta officials embarked on getting themselves fully engaged in backing and training their clique residing in the length and breadth of the country. They moved heaven and earth intending to destabilize the country by putting to great advantage their evil acts despite all their efforts went for nothing.
To the surprise of everyone, they moved mountains targeting at making the country intractable by bringing about clashes along ethnic and religious lines and things of that nature. Wretchedly, quite a lot of people went the way of all flesh.
By way of illustration, the TPLF junta officials managed to stoke unrest in various parts of the country such as Benishangul, Shashemene, Arsi, Gura Ferda, and what have you. In the same vein, they were unceasingly sowing the seeds of hatred and discord amid the various Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples’ of Ethiopia.
Be that as it may, following the difficult situation of the country, Ethiopians residing in the left, right, and center of the world was not that interested to come to Ethiopia. The whole lot was a bitter pill to swallow for them. They had passed through a considerable degree of highs and lows from time to time. At the time they were in Ethiopia, most of them had been jailed, tortured, and executed without any reason.
While on the subject this writer came across an Ethiopian diaspora who lives in Washington DC. He is on vacation. Fifteen-year is on since he left for the United States of America on the grounds of the TPLF junta officials’ evil acts. He makes a living by working as a taxi driver. Of late, he had a short stay with The Ethiopian Herald on the topic of what he had encountered under the leadership of TPLF junta officials.
He said going far deep in thought and
fighting back tears, “I do not know where to begin. I was able to pass through
many twists and turns owing to the TPLF junta officials’ evil acts. I would
venture to say, they are the devil’s workshop. When I was in Ethiopia, I was
thrown into prison more than fifteen times under the guise of a considerable
degree of fabricated stories. Furthermore, I was tortured and bitten quite a
lot of time.
In more concert terms, the TPLF junta officials managed to torture my dad on the pretext of fictitious stories. Frankly speaking, my dad did not know anything about politics except struggling day in and day out for our daily bread.
“Once upon a time, Agazi soldiers came to our home and knocked heavily on the door in the middle of the night. We did not know how to overcome our fear and anxiety. We did not know what we had to do. With fear and trembling, I answered the door as soon as possible. The compound was surrounded by soldiers. I was shivering with fear,” he added.
Almost instantaneously, some of them entered into our living room and embarked on beating me severely until I lost control of myself. When mom saw their evil acts, she nearly painted and burst into tears.
As the TPLF junta officials kept on putting my dad’s and my life into danger time after time, my mom walked away from life. I cried my eyes in view of the fact that I know my mom’s pain. We have suffered a lot because of their satanic acts.
As time went by, I illegally left for America. I was able to pass through many ascending and descending. The whole thing was turning upside down, and turning its back on me. In the fullness of time, my dream became a reality. Though I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth, I am currently leading a meaningful life. Thanks to God, all pain is gone.
I came here some months ago. The thing that surprises me most is the fact that the country is heading in the right direction.
When I heard the news regarding the attack carried out by the TPLF clique on the Northern Command which was positioned in the Tigray regional state, I could not believe my ears. I was extremely furious. The thing is, as the government of Ethiopia did not take an immediate action, the TPLF junta officials thought that they would get back to power in the shortest possible time with no trouble.
They were sure that they would do away with the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) and came to power in a little while. However, the ENDF destroyed them once and for all from the face of the earth.
In the present climate, I would like to invest in my country down the road.
It is to be recalled that in a recently published article on The Ethiopian Herald Selamawit Dawit, Director General of the Ethiopian Diaspora Agency said, “As the Ethiopian Diaspora Agency is established to serve as a bridge between the diaspora community and the homeland, we do not have political ideologies and political affiliation.
“We have managed to learn a lot from the previous system that failed to bear fruit and have set a course in the right direction for our agency. Our embassies are open to everyone abroad. We serve everybody and everyone equally. In the eyes of the agency, everyone is treated equally.”
