MoFA further stated that the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo has arrived in Addis Ababa this week. Upon arrival, the President of Ethiopia, President Sahle-Work Zewde, and senior government officials have accorded a warm welcome to the Congolese President and his entourage at Bole International Airport.
President Félix Tshisekedi will take over the rotating one-year-long chairmanship of the AU from his South African counterpart, Cyril Ramaphosa, as to MOFA.
Similarly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Marie Tumba Nzeza, arrived in Addis Ababa this week. State Minister of MoFA, Ambassador Birtukan Ayano has accorded a warm welcome to the Congolese Minister and her delegation at Bole International Airport. They have also discussed up on different continental and global issues.
