Following the attack on the Northern Command of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces, Ethiopian Diasporas residing in every nook and cranny of the world have been standing by the side of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces once in a great while.
It is to be recalled that, back in the day, the TPLF junta officials were sowing the seeds of hatred amid Ethiopians residing under the world skies from time to time. Over time, they ended up dividing the populace by race and ethnicity. Against this background, most Ethiopians were seen breaking the old social tie of the country on the odd occasion.
As the TPLF junta officials bring to the fore ethnicity and race, and hate to death unity and diversity, some people hated each other.
When the Ethiopian National Defense Forces accomplished the law enforcement operation in the shortest possible time, TPLF junta officials and their clique set in motion spreading cooked up stories in the length and breadth of the world. They left no stone unturned to obfuscate the international community making use of a wide spectrum of media outlets.
It is widely known that Ethiopian Diasporas have been familiarizing the international community with the true nature of TPLF junta officials based on facts and shreds of evidence. In more concert terms, the Ethiopian Diasporas have been acquainting the world community with the nuts and bolts of the law enforcement operation that has been taking place in every corner of the Tigray region.
As the TPLF junta officials were persistently making an effort to distort the reality on the ground making the most of fabricated stories, Ethiopian Diasporas have been bending over backward intending to acquaint the world community with the reality on the ground.
Be that as it may, on 6 January 2021 the Network of Ethiopians in Geneva for Action Taskforce in partnership with the Ethiopian permanent prepared a press conference. On a side note, the envisioned objective of the conference was revolving around adjusting the distortion flowing in social and mainstream media outlets on the subject of the law enforcement operation that has been taking place in the Tigray region.
Professor Birhanu Nega, Ethiopian Citizens for Social Justice Party Leader, Dr. Gedion Timothewos, Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia’s Attorney General, Minelik Alemu, Former Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Switzerland, Dr. Daniel Bekele, Commissioner of Ethiopian Human rights Commission, and Kitaw Yayehyirad, from Network of Ethiopians in Geneva for Action Taskforce managed to play a part in the press conference.
As the conference was watched by most Ethiopians residing in various parts of the world, they have been forwarding their comments. One of the viewers of the conference goes by the name of Belay Sahilu. He lives in the United States of America. He said regarding the conference, “
“Even though we know the whole lot going on all over the place for the most part regarding the TPLF junta officials, I was satisfied with the presentation. It was out of this world. The Ethiopian National Defense Forces deserve respect and appreciation for accomplishing the law enforcement operation with flying colors in the shortest possible time. Thanks to God, they have saved the country from disintegration and civil war.
“When Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed came to power, he embarked on getting the country back on track bringing into play a wide spectrum of effective strategies that can take the country to new horizons. Nobody had expected he would get rid of the TPLF junta officials from the face of the country almost immediately. However, through his determination, he managed to make Ethiopians breathe a sigh of relief in the fullness of time.”
The second viewer said, “Thank you all. Great job. The conference was truly great. The speakers are very knowledgeable and it is more than talks and targeted its mission. I believe that the description left the audience with an understanding of the action of the law enforcement operation in Tigray. Questions from the audience were answered in detail based on facts. Dr. Daniel Bekele the right person in the right position did an amazing job at the conference as usual. As well as everybody.”
The third one said, “The communication was cut by TPLF, as part of their plan, and the Federal government did fix most of the infrastructure damaged by TPLF forces and still ongoing. The Ethiopian National Defense Forces never targeted civilians. However, TPLF has a trademark of targeting civilians for over 40 years. Everybody knows but TPLF puppets deny.”
As learned from Club Suisse de la presse, since 2018, Ethiopia has been undergoing a profound transformation which cut across political, economic, and social areas, under the leadership of Prime Minister Abiy whose efforts were recognized through the award of the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize. Prime Minister Abiy made significant reforms to the country’s judicial system, economy, and foreign policy.
On the 4th of November 2020, the belligerent ethno-nationalist group under the name of Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) started a violent attack on the Northern Command of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces taking the lives of many. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed responded with force to uphold rule of law and safeguard the sovereignty of Ethiopia.
