ADDIS ABAAB – Foreign Minister Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu received copies of credentials of UAE Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ambassador Mohamed Salem Alrashidi yesterday.
Dr. Workneh said the ties between Ethiopia and the UAE are based on solid foundations. He also thanked the UAE for the support it extended to Ethiopians living in the Emirates.
Commending the already strong people-to-people ties, Dr. Workneh stressed on the importance of strengthening cooperation on trade and investment between the two countries.
The UAE Ambassador expressed his commitment to encourage UAE companies to seize the conducive investment opportunities in Ethiopia. He also pledged to work for the strengthening of the people-to-people-ties between the two countries during his tenure.
Meanwhile, State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Markos Tekle received copies of credentials of Chilean Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ambassador Fernanado Zalaquett Sepulveda yesterday where the two sides have agreed to further strengthen cooperation on a range of areas including tourism and agriculture.
