Tigray interim administration calls for power sharing

ADDIS ABABA- The new Cabinet of the interim Administration of Tigray expressed its readiness to accommodate contesting parties operating in Tigray State in the new administration structure.

In his recent interview with local media , Chief Executive of Tigray Provisional Administration Mulu Nega (Ph.D) noted the competing parties are now participating in the newly established administration and they would also partake actively in According to him, the new cabinet has decided to involve contesting parties in the new government of Tigray

“Parties like Arena Tigray, Tigray Democratic Party (TDP), Assimba Democratic Party (ADP) among other, are welcomed to join the new administration.”

Under the leadership Tigray People’s Liberation Party (TPLF) junta , these parties members had been subjected to killing and torture as well to flee home town because of their political attitude and stand, he underlined.

Tigray people had been under the oppression of TPLF junta but now the Tigray people at grass roots are partaking in realizing the administration.

He noted : “The new administration will allow people to elect freely Kebeles’ and Sub cities’ public representatives and others .”

The successful accomplishment of law enforcement operation against the junta has created golden opportunity for Tigray people as it has opened ways to materialize democracy, which had not been practiced under the leadership of TPLF junta, Mulu said.

“We want the political landscape to be widen more and real freedom of speech has to be practiced here sooner than later.”

For Tigray Prosperity Party Senior official Abraham Belay (Ph.D) said that Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) has shown great respect and sympathy to the people of Tigray while conducting law enforcement operations.

Following the end of the law enforcement operation , the ENDF has been keeping on assisting the people of Tigray and distributing humanitarian assistance and medical supplies to the locals in a timely manner.

“We are witnessing the reaction of the Tigray people while interacting with the ENDF ,it is marvelous and special one, this cordial relationship should be maintained” he noted.

It is to be recalled that from the very day of the end of the operation , the government has been working tirelessly on supplying necessary inputs, food, medicines and engaging in restoring services.
