Among many essential activities of Ethiopian women engaged in planting seeds is found tending their children. Women carry their babies on their back. They do the same when they fetch drinking water and transport goods.
Due to the close ties between children and their mothers, children simply learn a lot of significant activities and they follow in the footsteps of parents. Women always strive and sacrifice most in order to actualize children’s bright future.
The picture shows active women gathered and engaged in environmental protection, a task which has a decisive role in creating a positive attitude among generations.
On the other hand, a girl on whose face a smile is stamped is carrying a seed on her back just the way she learned from her mother. Carrying loads on the back seems the unique feature of Ethiopian women. And when it comes to children’s care, it shows the prioritization of the wellbeing of offspring in case accidents happen.
The women also select the barren land in order to start afforestation. Materials like netela- flat cotton cloth, turban, and small plastic gallons are utilized for carrying the things on the back of the women. They prefer dresses which prove comfortable for them. They wear dresses on daily basis.
The women trek a long distance to fetch water. On top of that they face daily drudges. The water used for irrigating the trees is fetched in a similar way. They have enduring vision.
Pickaxes and shovels are among the instruments used for digging the earth and Excavation of excavated soils.
In the picture above, women are gathered together and engaged in different activities with different moods that can be read from their faces. It shows the women have passion, team spirit, determination and stamina. Water in this regard, is utilized for irrigating the seedlings so that they grow timely.
Ethiopian women have many responsibilities starting from protecting and tending children as well as making foods at home up to tending the environment.
From the picture one could surmise that after finishing planting trees, women return back home and immediately engage in food preparation without a break. This shows that Ethiopian women are strong, intelligent, visionary and compassionate.
