
ADDIS ABABA (MoCT)- Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MoCT) and its affiliated institutions have celebrated the 15th Day of Nations and Nationalities and Peoples’ Day at the National Theater under the theme “Equality and Multi-nationalism Unity for Shared Prosperity”.
Program’s keynote Speaker, Ministry’s Minister Hirut Bekele said that this year’s celebration is unique as the nation is on a journey to realize shared prosperity and outshine multi-nationalism.
She underscored that the celebration not only signifies difference but it embraces unity.
Relating the celebration of Nation and Nationalities and Peoples’ day with constitution and current issues, MoCT’s Sport sector State Minister, H.E Habtamu Sisay presented a document.
The day was celebrated warmly through various programs such as the performance of traditional music by National Theater’s Cultural Group.
In the meanwhile, celebrating the Nation and Nationalities of Peoples’ Day, Yohannes Dinkayehu, State Minister of Ministry of Trade and Industry said that the day is unique as it is celebrated while the extreme TPLF junta is collapsed.
This occasion is special for the people of Tigray since they are liberated from the oppressive Junta system once and for all, according to the State Minister.
He stressed: “For the bright and prosperous Ethiopia, all citizens are expected to play a significant role.”
During the occasion, two documents entitled ‘TPLF’s illegal movement against the constitution and the governments’ action to keep the federal system and the country’s reform for strong federal system’ were presented and discussed.
